This provides a good side shot of the frame connector. A very unique difference on the US Car Tool connectors are the extra depth of the side rails. If the connectors did not have the ramp "downward" to provide the extra 1" of side height, the connector under the rear floor pan area would only be 5/8" tall.

Yup, thats right - only 5/8". So we engineered the connector to be a full 1 5/8" at the smallest cross section spot to have no loss of strength.
