This picture shows an E-body frame connector on a 1970 Cuda Convertible. The torque box has been removed from this car (for replacement) but the frame connector is designed to fit cars with or without torque boxes.
Note how the frame connector profile follows the floorpan, and how the area under the rear floor is slightly taller to provide increased strength. This side area we add to the E-body frame connectors makes them incredibly strong. The frame rail connectors still provide proper ground clearance and WILL NOT be the lowest point on the underside of the car!
