Here is the driver side quarter panel patch - it has had the seam lead filled and smoothed and is ready for final paint prep. The lead fills any pinholes left after butt welding the patch panel in place. Pipnholes will allow moisture to migrate to the backside of the patch and cuase problems with plastic filler down the road. Time consuming - but the end result is worth it!
