Here is tha factory crossmember. We will do extensive work to this area to fit the Chrysler 518 Overdrive transmission in this tunnel. A new structural crossmember will be built and the old one cut out. The new pieces will be welded into the unibody and become structural members of the frame. The 518 Overdrive unit is bigger than a stock 727 and will not fit into the '70 Chally tunnel without these clerance mods.

The Challenger will also get a new (fabricated) crossmember, sub-frame connectors and one of our unique bolt-in driveshaft loops!
