Whew! - Machine shop was able to dig the broken stud/easy-out combo out of the head and install a heli-coil for the princely sum of $65 - not bad, considering this motor has a complete T/A 340-6 pak top end and T/A heads are sorta valuable!
We got the head back last night and today started the thrash to get the Dart ready for Carlisle. Re-install the entire motor top-end, drop the entire assembly and transmission onto our new K-frame stand (which already has the complete powdercoated K-frame and suspension loaded on it). Sorry no pictures of the stuff in that stage - it was that sort of day today.
Get the dart nose high. We use a frame mounted at the bumper bolt mounts and lifted it with our fork lift. Would work pretty much the same with an engine hoist.
So at this point, we rolled the complete suspension/engine/trans assembly under the car and I took a picture of the time .....
