Here we have clamped the replacement quarter skin in place. At this point we have already trimmed the skin to remove the upper bend, but left the skin long to cover the original quarter. We will have many more trial fittings and once all the inside panels are secure, we will screw the skin to what is left of the original quarter edge and then cutr through both panels at once. This will make a very tight fitting joint that will then be butt welded.
