Here you see some of the trunk panels removed exposing the frame rails in the trunk area. Whenever we get access to the inside of a frame rail, we clean it and coat it with a product that chemicaly converts the rust and seals the inside bare metal (like POR-15 etc.)

All the factory did for inside the frame rails was a primer dip, how long could that have lasted?
