August 2006
John H. asked us to take his 1974 Challenger body and have it dipped / stripped and then replace all the bad sheetmetal, paint it and give it back to him for re-assembly.
A pretty clean unibody, the Challenger needed extensive panel replacement and rust repair, mostly in the back half of the unibody.
November 2006 UPDATE
The unibody, doors and fenders are back from dipping. As we expected the rear half of the Challenger is pretty rusty. Remarkably, the frame rails and rockers are in very good shape and do not need replacement. Most of the rust is in panels that are available, so the majority of the rust repair will be panel replacement.
