Here is the original Ad I saw for my Charger bracket car in the back of National Dragster circa December 1995.
The actual sale price was $4000, plus $300 or so to have it shipped from GA to NY. I raced it on and off over the years, first with the motor as I got it (I referred to it as my junkyard motor), added an 8 point rollbar, and redid parts as I broke them.
Over the years, I updated the rear to a stout 8 3/4 with moser 35 spline axles, spool and 4:56 gears, the trans to a rebuilt 727 with 4 gear planetary, all the goodies like kevlar bands or clutches or something! and a reverse manual valve body and 4400 stall convertor.
Then came the big change with the new race motor. A new 440 with aluminum MP Stage VI wedge heads took residence. Now with a bit more HP, the Charger went mid 11's in the quarter, low mid 7's in the 1/8th.
Best 1/4 mile pass to date is an 11.63 @ 114.1 mph
