Update May 9 2004 - Now with about 3/4 of the bottom sandblasted to remove the undercoating residue we can begin to see some thin spots and rust perforation.
All things considered, we will dip all the future projects! Cost will be less than the labor to hand strip the car. If you are going to bare metal (as we are) on a car, dipping is the best solution. Both in terms of time and dollars($$$).
Take a look at the new pictures added at the end and you will see the rust perforation we found. If we hadn't stripped the car, those would have just continued to grow!
